SAFETY REGULATIONS
To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, the following safety regulations must always be
taken:
1. Read this user manual carefully before you use this appliance and keep it for future
reference.
2. Use this machine for domestic purposes only.
3. Not to be used for other purposes than described in this manual.
4. Do not use the appliance if the plug, the mains cord or other components are damaged.
5. If the mains cord is damaged, you must have it replaced by Van den Berg Products, a
service centre authorised by Van den Berg Products or similarly qualified person in order to
avoid a safety hazard.
6. Check if the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to the local mains voltage
before you connect the appliance.
7. Always use an earthed wall socket.
8. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction regarding the use of the appliance by a person responsible
for their safety.
9. This appliance is not a toy. Careful supervision is required when the unit is used near
children, pets and plants. Do not allow children to use this appliance.
10. Do not use the unit if it is not working properly or has been dropped, damaged or left
outdoors.
11. Check the unit, power supply cable and parts regularly for damage. Do not use this machine
if it or its parts have been damaged.
12. Turn the power off before you pull the plug from the wall socket or before placing the plug
in the wall socket.
13. Do not pull the plug from the wall socket by its power cord. To take the plug from the wall
socket you hold the plug and carefully remove it from the wall socket.
14. Always disconnect the appliance from the wall socket when filling with water or emptying,
and when not in use.
15. Do not leave the appliance unattended when the plug is in the wall socket. Remove the plug
from the wall socket when you are not using the device or when carrying out maintenance.
16. Do not use the device with an extension cord, unless this extension cord had been checked
and tested by a qualified mechanic.
17. Never immerse the machine, the plug or the power cable in water or in any other liquid.
18. Do not touch the plug with wet hands.
19. Do not pull or carry the unit by its power cord and do not use the power cord as a handle.
Do not close the door on the power cord or pull it around sharp edges or corners.
20. Keep the unit and power cord away from heated surfaces and fire sources.
21. Use the machine in a completely dry environment.
22. Place the washing machine on a stable and flat surface.
23. Ensure that the water level of the machine does not get higher than the maximum indicated
quantity.
24. The water added must not exceed 50° C.
25. Do not spill any water on the buttons.
26. Avoid spilling liquid onto the base unit, as this can result in short circuit or electric shock.
27. To avoid fire, damages, or any injury, never use substances other than water or washing
detergent in the machine.
28. Do not wash articles that have been previously cleaned in, washed in, soaked in, or spotted
with gasoline, dry-cleaning solvents, or other flammable or explosive substances, as they
give off vapours that could ignite or explode.
29. To avoid breaking or injury, never attempt to touch the items in the bucket during the
washing cycle.
30. Store the cleaner safely out of reach of children.
31. Do not take the machine apart. Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself.
