Naam input box:
Hier kunnen individuele instellingen ingevoerd worden. Om het eenvoudig te maken een
modem later te identificeren dient de naam van de aansluiting zo volledig mogelijk te zijn,
b.v. “ISDN-AVM-Modem 9600”. De naam wordt tevens weergegeven in de modemlijst.
Poortselectie:
Hier kan de seriële interface (COM poort) worden ingesteld op de computer waar het modem
op aangesloten is.
Transmissie selectielijst
Hier kan de transmissiesnelheid tussen de PC en het modem worden ingesteld (normaal
9600 Baud).
Databit venster:
Hier kan het aantal databits dat per bericht verzonden of ontvangen wordt worden ingesteld.
8 bits is gebruikelijk.
Initialisatie velden:
In deze drie velden kunnen AT commando’s ingevoerd worden die het modem dat is
aangesloten op de PC kunnen configureren.
Test toets:
Hiermee kan een testverbinding tot stand worden gebracht om een modem te selecteren.
De programmastructuur om het modem te installeren wordt omschreven vanaf pagina 12.
