General
Due to the air pressure change at constant location it is
possible to establish weather forecasts. At increasing
air pressure improvement of weather conditions may be
expected. At decreasing air pressure the weather tends to
be worse.
The Barometer measures the present local air pressure. Due
to the fact that air pressure is reduced with increase of
height, it is necessary to relate air pressure on a certain
height above sea level to the air pressure at sea level. For
this purpose the local height above sea level needs to be
entered into the Barometer (height of location).
Caution: In case of change of location, the height of location
must again be reentered. Otherwise it is not possible to
establish a reliable weather forecast. The Bar Graph in the
Barometer Main Menu presents the air pressure evolution
during the last 24, 12, 6 or 3 hours ( according to selected
time interval per bar of the diagram) and therefore provides
a quite precise weather forecast.
The graph compares the air pressure values measured du
-
ring e.g. the last 24 hours with the present value. One bar
height is the equivalent of 2 hPa or the corresponding va-
