De responstijd bij opname en weergave is met een MultiMediaCard langer dan bij gebruik van een

SD geheugenkaart. Dat is geen mankement; het is het gevolg van de technische eigenschappen van

de kaarten. Gebruikt u kaarten met een grote capaciteit, dan zullen sommige bewerkingen, zoals bij-

voorbeeld wissen, meer tijd in beslag nemen.

De SD geheugenkaart heeft een beveiligingsschuifje, waarmee

kan worden voorkomen dat beeldinformatie wordt gewist. Schuift u

het schuifje omlaag, dan is de informatie op de kaart beveiligd. Is

de kaart beveiligd, dan kan er echter ook niet op worden opgeno-

men. Wordt er geprobeerd een beeld op te nemen of te wissen,

dan verschijnt de melding dat de kaart vergrendeld is (locked); ook

zal het LED-lampje bij de zoeker rood worden en snel knipperen.

Kijk voor informatie over onderhoud en opslag van geheugen-

kaarten op blz. 90.

Verschijnt de melding dat de kaart niet kan worden gebruikt

(unable to use), dan kan het nodig zijn de kaart die in de camera

zit te formatteren. Als een kaart in een andere camera is gebruikt

moet hij soms ook opnieuw worden geformatteerd voordat hij te

gebruiken is. Een kaart kan worden geformatteerd in de Setup 2

sectie van het weergave-menu (blz. 58). Wordt een kaart geformat-

teerd, dan wordt alle informatie die erop staat gewist.
