Verandert u de beeldgrootte, dan verandert het aantal pixels in de opname.

Hoe meer pixels, des te groter is het vermogen van de camera kleine

details zuiver weer te geven, en des te groter kan het beeld worden ver-

toond/geprint. Een grotere beeldgrootte (een hogere resolutie) levert grote-

re beeldbestanden op. Weet u van tevoren dat u een bepaalde opname niet

groot gaat printen, dan kunt u om opslagruimte te sparen een kleinere

beeldgrootte kiezen. Dat betekent wel dat u dan achteraf niet meer kunt

besluiten de foto toch op maximaal formaat te (laten) printen, omdat de

detaillering dan te laag is.
