-RespecttheMAXandMINlevels(Fig.1)
- Disconnect the appliance from the mains when not in use and before under-
taking any cleaning task.
-Unplugtheappliancefromthemainsbeforerellingthewatertank.
- This appliance should be stored out of reach of children and/or the disabled.
- Do not store or transport the appliance if it is still hot.
- Keep the appliance in good condition. Check that the moving parts are not
misaligned or locked and make sure there are no broken parts or anomalies
that may prevent the appliance from operating correctly .
- Never leave the appliance unattended while in use.
- Never leave the appliance connected and unattended if is not in use. This
saves energy and prolongs the life of the appliance.
-Donotremovethelterholderwhencoffeeisbeingmade,asatthattimeit
is under pressure.
- Any misuse or failure to follow the instructions for use renders the guarantee
and the manufacturer’s liability null and void.
Instructions for use
Before use:
- Make sure that all the product’s packaging has been removed.
-Beforeconnectingthemachine,checkthatthebuttons(F ,GorH)havenot
beenpressedandthatthesteamregulatingcontrol(R)isclosedbyturningit
as far as you can to the right.
-Beforeusingthisproductforthersttime,itisadvisabletotestitwithout
bread.
-Beforeusingtheproductforthersttime,cleanthepartsthatwillcomeinto
contact with food in the manner described in the cleaning section.
Priming the circuit:
-Performthisoperationthersttimeyouusethemachine,whenithasbeen
outofuseforsometime(1or2weeks),aftermakingsteam,orwhenthetank
has run out of water .
- Fill the tank with water , making sure not to exceed the “MAX” level marker .
- Place a recipient under the steamer .
- Connect the appliance to the mains.
- Set the on/off switch at the on position. The pilot light will come on
- For this operation it is not necessary to wait for the machine to heat up
-T urnonthesteamknob(G)byturningittotheleft.
-Pressthepumpcontrolswitch(cupposition)andthepumpwillbegintopump
water .
- The water will come out through the steam pipe.
-Letthewatercomeoutuntilapproximatelyonecuphasbeenlled.
-Thenishserving,closethecontrolbyturningittotheleft.
Filling with water:
-Thedepositmustbelledwithwaterbeforeturningtheapplianceon.
- Remove the tank from the appliance.
- Open the lid
- Fill the tank with cold water , taking care to observe the MAX and MIN levels
(Fig.1)
- Close the lid.
-Replacethetankinitshousing,ensuringthatitiswelltted.
Preparing coffee:
-Removethelterholder .
-Insertthelterforgroundcoffee(M)intothelterholder .
-Filltheremovablelterwithgroundcoffee(6-7gpercuptobeprepared).
-Ifyouwishtomake1coffee,half-lltheladle(1spoonful)andtakethecapaci-
ty of the measuring spoon as the measure for one coffee.
-For 2 coffees, put in 2 spoonfuls.
-Next lightly press down the ground coffee with the back of the spoon.
-Beforettingthelterholderinthecoffee-makerassembly ,turntheladle-
holder backwards.
-Fitthelterholderintheapplianceoncemore.
-Positionthelterholderinthecoffeeassemblybyinsertingitfrombelowthe
assembly and turning it from left to right until it locks.
-Beforeconnectingthemachine,checkthatthebuttons(F ,GorH)havenot
been pressed and that the steam regulating control is closed by turning it as far
as you can to the right.
-Insertthelterholderwithcoffeeintotheappliance
-Turn it anticlockwise until it is in the locked position.
- Connect the appliance to the mains.
- T urn the appliance on using the on/off switch.
- The pilot light comes on.
- Wait until the pilot light E comes on.
-Placeoneortwopre-heatedcupsatthelterholder .
Press the pump control switch in the “coffee” position and after a few seconds
the coffee will begin to come out.
-When you have obtained the desired quantity of espresso coffee (short or
long),pressthecoffeebuttonagain.
-Onceservinghasnished,waitafewsecondsandremovethecupswiththe
coffee.
-Removethelterholderandemptythegroundsfromit.
-Washthelterholderwithhotwater .
-Checkthattheremovablelterisperfectlyttedintothelterholder .
-Fitthelterholderintheapplianceoncemore.
Making coffee with single serving bags:
-Removethegroundcoffeefromthelterholder .
-Insertthelterforsingleservingbagsintothelterholder .
-Nextputthesingleservingbagintothelterholder;ensurethatthepaperof
thebagdoesnotprotrudefromthelterholder .
-Fixthelterholderintothecoffeeassemblybyinsertingitbelowtheassembly .
-Turnthelterholderfromlefttorightuntilitlocks.
-Place1pre-heatedcupunderthelterholder;
-Press the coffee release button.
-Follow the “coffee preparation” process
-Removethesingleservinglterandthrowawaytheusedbag.
-Washthelterholderandthesingleservinglter .
Obtaining hot water:
-Turn the appliance on using the ON/OFF switch.
-The heating pilot light will come on to indicate that the water is heating.
-Wait until the cof fee dispensing pilot light also comes on. Situation that tells
you that the water has reached the right temperature.
-Place a recipient under the steamer .
-Open the steam regulator by turning it anticlockwise to the left.
-Press the coffee outlet button for operating the pump
-The hot water begins to pour out through the steamer .
-Once you have obtained the desired amount of hot water , press the coffee
release button to stop the pump
-Close the control by turning it clockwise to the right
Obtaining steam:
-The steam is used to foam milk for cappuccino, and also to heat other liquids.
-Turn the appliance on using the ON/OFF switch.
-The heating pilot light will come on indicating that the water is heating to
produce steam.
-Wait until the cof fee output pilot light has gone out, which will indicate that the
appliance has reached an adequate temperature.
-Press the heating button and continue heating until the steam temperature
has been reached.
-Place a recipient under the steam tube.
-Open the control for a few seconds so that the water which has remained in
thevaporisercancomeout;inashorttimeonlysteamwillcomeout.
- When you have enough, close the control and remove the recipient.
Auto-disconnection function
Minimoka machines are designed to save energy
-Forthispurpose,ifafter30minutestheuserhasnotperformedanyactionon
it, the appliance will switch off automatically .
- T o return to normal operation, simply press the on/off switch
Once you have nished using the appliance:
- T urn the appliance off by pressing the on/off switch for a few seconds.
- Unplug the appliance to the mains.
- Remove the water from the water tank.
- Clean the appliance
Cleaning
- Disconnect the appliance from the mains and let it cool before undertaking
any cleaning task.
- Clean the equipment using a damp cloth with a few drops of washing-up liquid
and then dry .
- Do not use solvents, or products with an acid or base pH such as bleach, or
abrasive products, for cleaning the appliance.
- It is advisable to clean the appliance regularly and remove any food remains.
- If the appliance is not in good condition of cleanliness, its surface may
degrade and inexorably affect the duration of the appliance’s useful life and
could become unsafe to use.
-Nextdryallthepartsbeforettingthemtogetherandstoring.
How to deal with lime scale incrustations:
- For the appliance to work correctly it should be kept free of lime scale or
magnesium incrustations caused by the use of hard water .
- T o prevent this kind of problem, we recommend the use of water with low lime
or magnesium mineralisation.
- However , if it is not possible to use the kind of water recommended above,
you should periodically remove the lime scale from the appliance:
-Every6weeksifthewateris“veryhard”.
- Every 12 weeks if the water is “hard”.
-T odoso,werecommendtheuseofaspecicdescalingproductforthistype
of appliance, which can be found in specialised shops and authorised technical
services.
- Homemade solutions are not recommended in the de-scaling of this applian-
ce, such as the use of vinegar .
Anomalies and repair
- T ake the appliance to an authorised technical support service if problems
arise. Do not try to dismantle or repair without assistance, as this may be
dangerous.
