The correct temperature
86
...in the freezer section
To freeze fresh food and to store frozen
food for long periods, a temperature of
-18°C is required. At this temperature
the growth of bacteria is generally hal-
ted. As soon as the temperature rises
above -10°C, the bacteria become act-
ive in the food again so it cannot be
kept as long. For this reason, partially
defrosted or defrosted food must not be
re-frozen. Food may be re-frozen once it
has been cooked , as the high temper-
atures achieved when cooking destroy
most bacteria.
Setting the temperature
Touch the sensor control to set the
temperature.
The previously set temperatures for the
fridge and freezer zones are displayed.
Use the andsensor controls to
select the temperature zone for which
you want to adjust the temperature
and touch OK to confirm your selec-
tion.
Use the andsensor controls to
set the temperature. Keeping your fin-
gers on the sensor controls changes
the temperature continuously.
Confirm the temperature setting
withOK or wait approx. 8seconds
after the last touch of the sensor con-
trol. The temperature will then be
automatically adopted.
Tip: The newly set temperature can also
be confirmed and adopted by closing
the appliance door.
The temperature display always shows
the required temperature.
If you have adjusted the temperature,
wait for approx. 6hours if the refri-
geration appliance is not very full and
for approx. 24hours if the refrigera-
tion appliance is full before checking
the temperature display. It will take this
long for the appliance to give an accur-
ate reading.
If, after this time, the temperature is
still too high or too low, you will need
to adjust it again.
Adjusting the temperature in the dry
compartment of the MasterFresh
zone
The temperature in the dry compart-
ment of the MasterFresh zone is main-
tained at approx. 2°C.
However, if you would like it to be
colder, e.g. when storing fish, you can
adjust the temperature in the dry com-
partment to make it slightly lower.
Open the upper appliance door.
Fully remove the dry compartment
(see “Adjusting the interior fittings –
Removing compartments in the fridge
zone”) or pull it out as far it will go.
There is a temperature regulator on the
rear wall of the fridge zone. You can use
this to adjust the temperature in the dry
compartment slightly.
The temperature regulator is set to the
cold” position at the factory.
