Pruimen-chutney
Totale bereidingstijd: 60–70 minuten
voor 2 glazen à 400 ml
Ingrediënten
750 g pruimen, zonder pit
50 ml water
200 g bruine suiker
¹/₂ theelepel gember, gemalen
¹/₂ theelepel nootmuskaatbloem
1 gekonfijte gemberpruim, in blokjes
50 g rozijnen
2 eetlepels azijn
Bereiding
Snijd de pruimen in stukjes. Doe deze
met het water, de suiker, de kruiden, de
gemberpruim en de rozijnen in een
schaal. Kook alles afgedekt gedurende
ca. 10 minuten met 850 Watt. Kook het
geheel aansluitend nog eens 30-40 mi‐
nuten met 450 Watt, totdat de massa
iets gebonden wordt.
Voeg de azijn toe en laat de massa af‐
gedekt nog
eens ca. 10 minuten met
450 Watt zachtjes doorkoken.
De chutney moet heet vrij pittig zijn,
omdat de smaak na het afk
oelen iets
milder wordt.
