Before connecting the appliance to
the mains supply, make sure that
the connection data on the data plate
(voltage and frequency) match the
mains electricity supply.
This data must correspond in order to
avoid the risk of damage to the
appliance. Consult a qualified
electrician if in any doubt.
The socket and on-off switch
should be easily accessible after
the appliance has been built in.
The appliance must be built in so
that the contents of the drawer can
be seen. This is to avoid scalding from
hot food spilling over. There must be
enough space for the drawer to be
pulled out fully.
The appliance must be fitted above
a fixed interim shelf in the housing
unit to ensure that the housing unit can
support its weight.
Make sure that the appliance is
correctly aligned when installed. If
it is not, there is a risk that it will open
by itself or that it will not shut properly.
The appliance should not be
placed in a draught caused by
open doors or windows.
The appliance must be securely
fixed in the housing so that there is
no danger of it tipping when the drawer
is being loaded.
This appliance may only be used in
mobile installations such as ships,
caravans, aircraft etc. if a risk
assessment of the installation has been
carried out by a suitably qualified
engineer.
Moisture released through the
vents can cause discolouration or
warping to furniture or appliance fronts
if these are too close to the drawer.
Food warming drawer installed on its
own:
A minimum safety distance of 50 mm
must be maintained between the upper
edge of the food warming drawer and
the furniture door above it.
Installation in combination with an oven:
A minimum distance of 25 mm must be
maintained between the upper edge of
the food warming drawer and the
appliance door above it.
This gap can be left empty, or a
moisture and heat-resistant filler strip
can be fitted.
