Bereiten Sie frisches Gemüse wie gewohnt vor, z. B. wa

schen, putzen und zerkleinern.
Tiefkühlware
Tiefkühlgemüse muss vor dem Garen nicht aufgetaut werden.
Ausnahme: Im Block eingefrorenes Gemüse.
Tiefgekühltes und frisches Gemüse mit gleicher Garzeit kön
-
nen zusammen zubereitet werden.
Zerkleinern Sie größere, zusammengefrorene Stücke. Die
Garzeit entnehmen Sie der Verpackung.
Garbehälter
Lebensmittel mit kleinem Durchmesser pro Stück (z. B. Erb-
sen, Spargelstangen) bilden keine oder nur wenige Hohlräu-
me, und der Dampf kann kaum eindringen. Um ein gleichmä-
ßiges Garergebnis zu erhalten, wählen Sie für diese Lebens-
mittel flache Garbehälter, und füllen Sie diese nur etwa
3-5cmhoch. Verteilen Sie größere Lebensmittelmengen auf
mehrere flache Garbehälter.
Unterschiedliche Gemüse mit gleicher Garzeit können in ei-
nem Garbehälter zubereitet werden.
Garen Sie Gemüse, die in Flüssigkeit zubereitet werden, z. B.
Rotkohl, in ungelochten Garbehältern.
Einschubebene
Wenn Sie in gelochten Garbehältern färbendes Gemüse ga

ren, z. B. Rote Bete, platzieren Sie keine anderen Lebensmit
-
tel darunter. So vermeiden Sie Verfärbungen durch herab
-
tropfende Flüssigkeit.
