ΚΑΛΥΨΗ/ΈΜΒΈΛΈΙΑ

Η μέγιστη κάλυψη εξαρτάται από τις συνθήκες εδάφους και παράγεται

κατά τη χρήση σε ανοιχτό χώρο.

Οι μόνοι περιορισμοί στην μέγιστη κάλυψη είναι περιβαλλοντικοί

παράγοντες όπως δέντρα, κτίρια ή άλλα εμπόδια. Μέσα στο αυτοκίνητο

ή σε μεταλλικές κατασκευές, η εμβέλεια μπορεί να μειωθεί. Σε κανονικές

συνθήκες, η εμβέλεια μέσα στην πόλη, με κτίρια ή άλλα εμπόδια είναι

περίπου 1 ή 2 Km. Σε ανοιχτό χώρο αλλά με εμπόδια όπως δέντρα,

φυλλώματαή σπίτια η μέγιστη δυνατή εμβέλεια είναι περίπου 4-6

Km. Σε ανοιχτό χώρο, χωρίς εμπόδια και με καλή οπτική επαφή, όπως

παράδειγμα σε ένα βουνό, η εμβέλεια μπορεί να είναι μεγαλύτερη από

12 Km.
