Presión arterial central
La presión arterial central es la presión en la aorta
ascendente, que es la arteria más grande, se origina
en el ventrículo izquierdo del corazón y desde donde
se distribuye el oxígeno a todas las partes del cuerpo a
través de la circulación sistémica.
¿Cómo se mide la presión arterial central?
El dispositivo WatchBP Office (Cn) utiliza formas de
 a de volumen pulso braquial
(PVP, por sus siglas en inglés) para determinar la
presión arterial central. El dispositivo WatchBP Office
Central está diseñado para realizar una PVP a una
presión del brazalete de 60 mmHg. En base al análisis
de las formas de onda de la PVP, se determinan el
valor de presión arterial sistólica central (CBP, por sus
siglas en inglés) y el valor de presión de pulso central
(CPP, por sus siglas en inglés) 1.
Precisión del dispositivo WatchBP Office (Cn)
La precisión de la medición de la presión arterial central
realizada con un dispositivo oscilométrico automatizado
solo puede determinarse de forma fiable en comparación
con la medición de la presión intraarterial. El dispositivo
WatchBP Office Central ha sido validado en comparación
con registros simultáneos de medición de la presión
intraarterial en 85 sujetos y mostró una alta precisión 2.

inglés)
La presión de pulso central a partir de este monitor se
estima directamente a través del análisis de formas de
onda d a de volumen de pulso (PVP, por
sus siglas en inglés).
