This is why the grilling time table (silkscreen on the lid of the appliance are guidelines at
an average for the contact grill function A only, relating on approx.100 gr. and maximum
temperature. Reducing the temperature will cause longer grilling times accordingly. As usual
when preparing any food, it is necessary to check and control the grilling progress at all time
and adjust it depending on your individual requirements.
Food shall have room temperature. Food which comes from the refrigerator, or just has been
defrosted will need more time.
Please note to divide chicken into parts before grilling. The appliance is not suited to grill
whole chicken. It would get black outside and raw inside.
When using function C the grilling time will extend, according to the consistency of the grill
food, as just the lower heat is taking effect on it (please turn the food at least one time when
using function C). Find more information about function A, B, C in chapter "How to fold":
How to fold
This appliance provides different grilling functions, which are suitable depending on kind of food
which is used.
Hint: Unplug the appliance for safety reason. Then try the different folding-positions a few times
before use, to get accustomed with the folding function.
A: Contact grill
B: Oven function
C: Folding position at 180° for BBQ-grilling and for large foods
Note: Put heat resistant bowls under the grease outlets, always before grilling. (The bowls are
not included in delivery). You also can use a baking tray and put it below the appliance , for
collecting the grease released completely. This avoids grease pouring off the grease outlets onto
the working area.
Contact grill function A:
(grill plates in contact with food)
Function A (see picture page 2) is suitable for thinner slices of meat, burgers or sandwiches.
Plug in and heat up both grill plates. Keep the lid closed while heating up, then maximum
temperature can be reached faster.
Always touch the heat insulated handles only, never touch hot parts of the appliance.
Use oven cloth for safety.
When the control lights switch off, maximum heat has reached. Now open the lid and place
the food on the lower grill plate.
Close the lid by pushing it gently down.
For adjusting the temperature when using contact grill function, find the grilling time table
on the lid for orientation.
The grilling time depends on the individual foodstuff. Depending on the consistency
of your food, adjust the temperature now higher or lower.
When using contact grill function A, always keep the unit closed to keep the heat.
