Preparation: Before switching on the appliance, open the lid and pour the desired volume
of water into the water tank. Always take fresh, cold water never take hot water to fill the tank.
The number of coups can be read on the left side of the tank on the water level indicator.
• Do only fill water to the MAX level indicator, not more.
• Place the thermo jug under the filter arrangement with fully and firmly closed lid. Push the
small lever at the lid of the thermo jug slightly downward. This allows to put the thermo jug
under the filter holder easily. For maximum heat retention, rinse the thermo jug with hot
water. The thermo jug has a drip-through-lid. Close the lid firmly, the handle of the thermo
jug and the lever of the lid must be parallel. Always place the thermo jug on the appliance
under the filter unit before you switch on the appliance!
• Open the filter unit (handle on the left side next to the water level indicator)). Insert the
permanent filter (paper filter 1 x4 is also possible) and fill in the desired quantity of ground
coffee. Close the lid.
• Switch-on: Now the appliance is ready to switch on. Push the switch into position “I”,
the switch is illuminated then. The water will be heated and the brewing progress starts.
The coffee runs slowly through filter and drip-through-lid into the thermo jug. The filter unit
is equipped with a drip-stop function. Only if the thermo jug closed with the drip-through-lid
is placed exactly under the filter holder, the drip-stop function is cancelled and coffee will
run exactly. Push down the lever at the lid of the thermo jug, this makes it easier to place
it. Use the provided thermo jug with this appliance only. Otherwise exact function is not
assured. CAUTION! Never run the appliance without the provided thermo jug!
• The appliance automatically switches off after ending the brewing process!
To interrupt the brewing process, it is possible to switch manually into “0” position also.
After brewing is finished:
• Remove the thermo jug. Push slightly down the lever at the lid of the thermo jar, this
makes removing easier.
For pouring coffee, slightly push the lever (button) at the lid of the thermo jug.
Keeping warm: The rest of the coffee keeps warm in the double-wall thermo jug for a long
time if the lid is closed. The warming plate of the appliance gets heated also during the brewing
process. The automatic cut-off after the end of the brewing process does not end the heating
of the warming plate. Rest heat of the warming plate will warm the bottom of the thermo jug
for a while. The warming plate will not re-heat.
Note
• Fill cold water only into the water compartment. Do not pour milk or ready-made beverages
into the water compartment to avoid staining and damage.
• Switch off the appliance and let it cool down for minimum 5 minutes before reusing.
• Do not fill water into the coffee maker when it is still hot as it could be dangerous or cause
damage.
• Always switch off after use. Unplug when the appliance is unsupervised and not in use
for longer term, also unplug before cleaning.
• Do not leave residual water in the water tank to avoid lime stone.

Lime must be removed regularly, at least once per month. Use commercial liquid lime solvent
only and follow the instructions stated on the package. The guarantee is not valid for defects
caused by lime deposits.
