Aard van de signalen gebruikt voor de terrestrische televisie
sinds het midden van de 20ste eeuw. Met de komst van digitaal
zal het analoge signaal verdwijnen rond 2011.
Nummer gegeven aan een Frequentie. In UHF worden de
kanalen genummerd van 21 tot 69.
Mast beladen met antennes die de kanalen doorzendt (digitaal
en analoog) en waarnaar de harkantenne gericht moet worden.
OPGELET : niet elke zender zendt alle beschikbare kanalen
uit.
Elektronische Programmagids.
Gratis ether. Van het Engels Free-To-Air. Uw terminal kan alle
terrestrische digitale kanalen ontvangen en alleen deze.
Wat terrestrisch betreft, het geheel van kanalen uitgezonden op
dezelfde frequentie, hetzelfde bereik.
Aard van de signalen gebruikt bij moderne uitzendingen. In
vergelijking met analoog laat digitaal toe het spectrum (geheel van
beschikbare frequenties) minder te belasten. Met een continue
bandbreedte, laat digitaal toe meer kanalen uit te zenden dan
analoog. De digitale kanalen bestaan reeds enkele jaren via de
kabel en de satelliet. Op termijn zal deze vorm de analoge en
terrestrische uitzendingen gaan vervangen. Opgelet: hetzelfde
kanaal (vb TF1) kan zowel analoog als digitaal uitgezonden
worden.
Oriëntatie van de golf uitgezonden door de zender. Het grootste
deel van de UHF-uitzendingen is horizontaal. De takken van uw
hark moeten dus horizontaal staan.
Waar het ons aanbelangt, betreft dit uitzendingen via de ether, in
tegenstelling tot de “kabel” of “satelliet”.
