Any other use is considered to be
not intended. The manufacturer
excludes any liability for resulting
damages, the risk is exclusively
borne by the user.
The machine has been built using
modern technology and in accordance
with recognized safety rules.
Some hazards, however, may still
remain.
A
The splitting tool poses a danger
of injury to fingers and hands by
improper feeding or placement of
wood.
Danger of injury from thrown
wood due to improper holding or
feeding.
The use of incorrect or damaged
mains cables can lead to elctrical
injuries.
Minimize remaining hazards by
following the instructions in
”Safety Rules”, ”Use only as
authorized” and in the entire
operating manual.
Transport fork lift/lifting carrier:
To remove the machine from the palette,
two persons will be required.
The machine may be transported while
held in a diagonal position. Use the hand
grip and pull gently while the machine
stands on its wheels.
Your machine can be stored or transpor-
ted under ambient temperatures bet-
ween -20° C and +60° C at a max.
humidity of 80 %.
For packaging reasons, the base (6) is
to be installed by the customer.
Use the 5 saucerhead screws M8x12
that are included in the delivery.
Place the device horizontally on the
floor, and put the Styropor pad of the
packaging underneath the splitting
wedge side.
Prepare the workplace where the
machine is to be placed. Ensure suffi-
cient room to allow safe work without
malfunctions.
The machine is designed to operate on a
level surface and must be placed secu-
rely on firm, level ground.
Please make sure your machine is
placed firmly on stable plain ground.
Regularly check the electrical connec-
tion lines for damages. Please make
sure that the connection lines are dis-
connected from the mains supply
during the check.
Electrical connection lines must meet
the applicable VDE and DIN regulati-
ons and the provisions of the local
power supply company.
Only use connection lines labeled
with H07RN.
The labeling of the connection cable
with the type specification is required.
Damaged electrical connections
Often, insulation damages occur on
electrical connection lines.
The possible causes are:
Drag marks if connection lines are
led through window or door clear-
ances. .
Kinks due to improper attachment or
routing of the connection line.
Cuts caused by running over the
connection line.
Insulation damages caused by pull-
ing the connection line out of the
wall socket.
Fissures caused by the aging of the
insulation.
A
Such defective electrical con-
nection lines must not be used and
are, due to the insulation damages,
life threatening!
Single phase motor 230 V/ 50 Hz
The supply voltage must be
220-240 V/ 50 Hz.
The mains connection and exten-
sion cable must have 3 wires =
P+N+SL. - (1/N/PE).
Extension lines up to a length of 25
m must have a minimum cross sec-
tion of 1.5 mm
2
, lines with a length
exceeding 25 m must have a mini-
mum cross section of 2.5 mm
2
.
The mains connection is protected
with a maximum of 16 A.

Before operating your
machine, the bleed screw should be
loosened by some rotations until air
can go in and out of the oil tank
smoothly. Failed to loosen the
bleed screw will keep the sealed
air in hydraulic system being com-
pressed after being decom-
pressed. Such continuous compres-
sion/decompression will blow out
the seals of the hydraulic system
and cause permanent damage to
your machine.
A
Before moving your machine,
make sure the bleed screw is tighte-
ned to avoid oil leaking from this
point.
A
Only split plain cut log.
1. Place the log plain onto the work
table (3).
2. Fix the log pusher in the required
position according to the length of
the log.
Position 1: Length up to 52 cm,
Position 2: Length up to 47 cm,
Position 3: Length up to 42 cm.
3. Your machine is equipped with Two-
hands Control System that requires
to be operated by both hands of
the user – left hand controls the
Hydraulic Lever (13) while right
hand controls the pushbutton
switch (8). Trigger type lock-out
device is adopted to avoid acci-
dental hydraulic control lever
pushdown.
4. Simultaneously push pushbutton
switch (8) to start the splitting action.
The log splitter will freeze upon absence
of either hand.
Never force your machine for more than
5 seconds by keeping pressure on it to
split excessively hard wood. For such
extremely hard log, rotate it by 90° to
see whether it can be split in a diffe-
rent direction.
In any case, if you are not able to
split the log, this means that its hard-
ness exceeds the capacity of the
machine and thus should be discar-
ded to protect the log splitter.
Overloading causesþa thermal overload
protectionþto trip. After a few seconds
the machine can be started again. To
restart the reset button (8a) must be
pressed first.
Wrongly placed log (Fig. 4)
Always set logs firmly on the log retai-
ning plates and work table. Make sure
logs will not twist, rock or slip while
being split. Do not force the blade by
splitting logs on the upper part. This
will break the blade or damage the
machine.
Do not attempt to split 2 pieces of logs at
the same time. One of them may fly up
and hit you.
