4.1. Setting up an M2 Hive System
The M2 Hive System features a simple plug-and-play setup experience that can be completed
using the Mercku App or Portal.
1. Set up the M2 (Queen) router as per Chapter 3.2.1 and connect to the Mercku network.
2. Plug in each Bee one at a time in a suitable location near your M2 (Queen) router and wait
for the node to mesh automatically. Once connected to the network, the Bee’s LED light
will become stable green.
For tips on positioning your Bees, please see Chapter 3.3.
4.2. Adding a Bee via the Mercku App
If you would like to add an additional Bee node to your existing system, you can follow the steps
below to add it using your Mercku App:
1. Open the Mercku App on your mobile device.
2. Select the “+” sign at the right-top corner >
Start
> Select
M2 Bee Wi-Fi Mesh Node
• Plug the Bee in and wait until its indicator light is steady red.
• Please Note: When you first plug in the Bee, the light will first be solid red then it will
blink red, and then it will become solid again. Please wait until the light becomes solid
red before pressing the Reset Button. If you have pressed the Reset Button too early
and the indicator light is blinking green and red, please unplug the Bee and try again.
