Aluminum hubcap

To remove: positionsocket 2 on hubcap
1.

The socketcan be found in thetire-change
tool kit.

Position wheel spanner 3 on socket 2.
#
Using wheelspanner 3,turnhub cap 1
counter-clockwise and remove it.
#
To install: position hub cap 1 and turnuntil
it is completely flush withthe wheel.
#
Position socket 2 on hubcap 1.
#
Attach wheel spanner 3 to socket 2 and
tighten thehub cap clockwise.
Specified tightening torque: 18 lb-ft
(25 Nm).

Raise thevehicle (→ page379).
Raising thevehicle when changing awheel
Requirements:

Thereare no persons in thevehicle.

The vehicle has been prepared forawheel
change(

The hub caps have been removed

non-slip surface. If necessary, use alarge,
load-bearing, non-slip underlay.

thefootofthe jackmustbepositioned verti‐
callyunder thejacksupportpoint.

Neverplace your hands or feet under the
vehicle.
