1. Measure rice and water and place evenly in rice
bowl. NEVER PUT ANY LIQUID INTO THE BASE.
The lid has to be used during the entire preparation
time.
NOTE: There are differing opinions about whether
rice should be washed before cooking. Drier ufer
rice is obtained by washing rice rst.
2. Place rice bowl in base and lid on rice bowl.
Make sure the bowl is placed properly sat onto the
base.
3. Plug cord into a 230 Volt AC outlet. The power
is now on and remain on while the appliance is
plugged in.
4. Hold the function button down to start cooking.
At the end of the cooking phase, it automatically
switches to the “keep warm” function. After about
10 minutes the rice will be cooked. Gently stir the
rice using the spatula provided. The rice is now
ready to serve.
5. If the rice is to be kept warm leave the rice cooker
plugged in. Reposition the lid after having uffed the
rice.
6. Unplug the rice cooker before removing lidand rice
bowl from the base.
NOTE: Rice may be kept warm for up to 5 hours.
To stop the automatic keep warm cycle, simply unplug
from wall outlet.
RICE COOKING CHART:
Standard Measuring Cup Water
For 2 cups of raw rice 3-3,5 cups
For 4 cups of raw rice 5-5,5 cups
For 6 cups of raw rice 7-7,5 cups
For 8 cups of raw rice 9-9,5 cups
For 10 cups of raw rice 11-11,5 cups
HELPFUL HINTS:
When using the automatic keep warm cycle, the
rice bowl should contain at least 3 cups ofcooked rice.
HOW TO STEAM COOK
Add water to the rice bowl and place into the base •
ensuring that the rice bowl makes proper connect
with the heat sensor on the heating plate.
Place the steamer onto the inner rim of the rice •
bowl. Place the food in the steamer and cover with
the lid.
Plug the power cord into the power supply and turn •
the rice cooker on.
Press the COOK button to start the cooking •
process. The COOK indicator light will come on.
Once the cooking process is complete immediately •
turn off the rice cooker.
CARE AND CLEANING:
After each use, wash the rice bowl, the steamer, the
lid, the measuring cup and the spatula in warm, soapy
water. Do not use harsh detergents, abrasive cleansers
or metal scouring pads. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Wipe
the base with a clean, damp cloth and dry. NOTE: If
the rice sticks to the pot ll it with hot water with a mild
detergent and let it soak for about 10 minutes.
CAUTION:
1. To reduce the risk of electric shock, cook only in
removable container.
DO NOT IMMERSE THE BASE, CORD OR
PLUG IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
2. If water should accidentally enter the switch
mechanism or spill onto the heating plate, carefully
unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. Allow
drying thoroughly before using the appliance again.

Plug wiring:
This product is tted with a BS 1363 13-amp plug. If
you have to replace the fuse, only those that are ASTA
or BSI approved to BS1362 and with a rated current of
13 amps should be used. If there is a fuse cover tted,
this cover must be retted after changing the fuse. If
the fuse cover is lost or damaged, the plug must not be
used. You must also check if the socket outlets in your
home t with the plug of the appliance. If the socket
outlet in your home does not t with the plug, the plug
must be removed and disposed of safely as insertion
of the plug into the socket is likely to cause electric
hazard. A replacement plug should be wired according
to following description.

set are coloured thus:
BLUE- Neutral, Brown-Live, Green& Yellow-earth

As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed
as follows:
The wire that is coloured Green& Yellow must be
connected to the terminal in the plug that is marked
with the letter E or by the earth symbol, or coloured
green& yellow.
The wire that is coloured blue must be connected to
the terminal that is marked with the letter N or coloured
black.
The wire that is couloured brown must be connected to
the terminal that is marked with the letter L or coloured
red.
