PRIOR TO FIRST USE
Before using the rst time, fully charge
the batteries (See Battery Charging
below), which takes approx. 16 hours. The
following 2-3 times, 12 hours of charging
is sufcient.
USING THE APPARATUS
The appliance is for cutting and trimming
hair and beards and may be used with and
without comb attachment, depending on
the required length of hair. The appliance
may be used on battery power or by mains
power using the accompanying adapter
(15).
Fitting the comb attachment
• Fit the required comb (3-5 or 10-12)
to the cutting head (2) as shown in
the illustration. Ensure that the pin is
clicked into position when pressing
down the rear end of the comb.
o Detach the comb by gently pressing
down the front end until a click is
heard and it comes lose.
• Before you start,
always make sure
that the required
cutting comb is
securely mounted
on the trimmer.
• Switch on using
the on/off button
(16) and commence
trimming.
• Hold trimmer with
sloped side of comb
attachment to face,
and move in slow,
even movements
through the beard.
For best result move against the growth
direction of the beard. If necessary, use
the scissors (7) and the comb (6).
• Use a progressively shorter cutting
length until the beard has the required
length.
o The cutting head slows down or
becomes clogged if the trimmer is
used too fast, or if too much hair is
cut off at one time.
o Frequently shake off hairs from the
trimmer to avoid it getting stuck in
the cutting head.
Caution! Always switch off the trimmer
before changing the comb as otherwise
the sharp cutting head can cut your hands.
Trimming without a comb attachment
The cutting head may be used without a
comb for making clean edges along the
edges of the beard, e.g. in the case of
sideburns.
