Stay completely still while taking the reading.
• PushtheOn/Offbutton(8).Allsymbolsand
numbers are shown on the display for approx. 2
seconds.
• Whenthedisplayshows“0mmHg”underboth
systolic pressure (a) and diastolic pressure (b)
andthesymbolfornewreading(d)ashes,the
appliance is ready for use.
o If air was left in the cuff from last use, the
symbolforemptyingthecuff(f)ashes.Press
the release valve (9) on the hose in front of the
rubber bulb (5) to empty all air out of the cuff.
When the symbol for new measurement
ashes,theapplianceisreadyforuse.
• Inatethecuffto30mmHgabovetheexpected
(systolic)bloodpressurebysqueezingthe
rubber bulb a number of times in quick
succession. For guidelines about blood pressure
values,seethetablein“Whenismyblood
pressuretoohighortoolow?”Itisimportant
toinatethecuffinonecontinuousprocess
without pauses. Let go of the rubber bulb once
the desired value has been reached.
oIfanerroroccursduringinationofthecuff,
thedisplayshows“EERETEST”.Emptyall
air out of the cuff by pressing the release
valve.Inatethecuffagainwhenthesymbol
fornewmeasurementashes.
• Thebloodpressuremeasurementbeginsshortly
after the rubber bulb is released.
oThedisplayshows“TESTING”andthe
appliance displays the pressure continuously
during the measurement.
oThesymbolforpulsemeasurement(e)
ashesasanindicationthatthepulseisalso
being measured.
• Whenthebloodpressuremeasurementis
complete, the following happens:
oThedisplayshowsthesystolicpressure,the
diastolic pressure and the pulse (c).
oThesymbolforemptyingofcuffashes.
• Pressthereleasevalvetoemptyallairoutofthe
cuff. When all air has been removed from the
cuff,thesymbolfornewmeasurementashes.
• Ifyouneedtotakeseveralreadings,youshould
wait 5-10 minutes between each reading.
oCaution!Asinglereadingwillnotgiveasure
indicationofyourcondition.Youcanonlyget
an idea of this after a number of readings.
• Switchofftheappliancebypressingthe
On/Offbuttonwhenyouhavenishedthe
measurement.
oTheapplianceautomaticallyswitchesoff
after two minutes of inaction.
