3.Orologio radiocomandato
L’orologio radiocomandato indica l’orario esatto all’interno del continente. Il segnale viene intercettato dalla Physikalisch-Technischen Bundesanstalt (PTB) in Germania.
Tramite un trasmettitore a Mainflingen, a ca. 25 km a sudest di Francoforte, la PTB invia il segnale orario a intervalli regolari (DCF77, 77.5kHz), il quale può essere in-
tercettato in un raggio di 2'000 km. Tuttavia il raggio d’azione può essere compromesso da interferenze locali (p. es. nelle vicinanze di aeroporti, cantieri, montagne,
grandi edifici).
