5 Gebruik
Kies een zachte, niet al te sterk be-
haarde plaats op het lichaam uit, die
niet in de buurt van een gebeente of
een ader ligt. i
Ter voorbereiding van de huid en voor
een betere bloedsomloop, masseert u
de plaats zacht. i
Houdt de prikhulp enkele seconden
tegen de prikplek aan vóór het prikken
en druk dan o p de drukto e t s.
Wacht tot er zich onder AST-kap een
bloeddruppeltje met de diameter van
ca. 1,4 mm gevormd heeft. i
Neem de prikpen voorzichtig van de
huid en ga verder zoals bij gebruik van
de normale beschermkap (zie 5.4
"Bloedglucosewaarde bepalen").

WAARSCHUWING
Bij gebruik van de AST kap mag NIET de
eerste bloeddruppel worden gebruikt voor
de bloedglucosemeting.
In plaats van de
vingertop kan het
bloedstaal ook
afgenomen
