5.1 Colocar a braçadeira para o braço superior

5.2 A posição correcta de medição

Primeiro, insira a extremidade livre do tubo de ar da braçadeira na

conexão prevista para o efeito no aparelho.

Desloque a braçadeira pré-moldada sobre o seu braço superior

esquerdo, sem roupa a cobri-lo.

Posicione o tubo de ar no centro do

braço, no prolongamento do dedo

médio (Fig.1 a). O bordo inferior da

braçadeira deve encontrar-se 1-2 cm

acima do cotovelo (Fig.1 b). Estique a

braçadeira e feche o fecho de velcro

(Fig.1 c).

Só quando a braçadeira não pode ser colocada no braço esquerdo,

é que ela deve ser colocada no braço direito. As medições devem ser

realizadas sempre no mesmo braço.

Se possível, realize a medição sentado.

Relaxe e descontraia o braço, colocando-o, p. ex., sobre uma

mesa. Durante a medição, permaneça quieto: não se mexa

nem fale, caso contrário poderá alterar os resultados

de medição. Posição correcta de medição quando sentado (Fig.2).

Em casos especiais, a medição também poderá ser realizada na

posição deitada (Fig. 3).

A braçadeira deve encontrar-se sempre à altura do coração.


