3.2 Wat betekent bloeddruk?
Bloeddruk is de druk die door elke hartslag in de vaten
ontstaat. Wanneer het hart samentrekt (= systole) en
bloed naar de arteriën pompt, leidt dit tot het stijgen
van de druk. De hoogste waarde van deze druk wordt
systolische druk genoemd en gedurende een bloed-
drukmeting als eerste waarde gemeten. Wanneer de
hartspier verslapt om nieuw bloed op te nemen, neemt
ook de druk af in de arteriën. Wanneer de vaten ont-
spannen zijn, wordt de tweede waarde - de diastoli-
sche ´druk gemeten.
3.3 Hoe functioneert de meting
met CardioDock?
De CardioDock bloeddrukmeetmodule in combinatie
met de VitaDock App maakt van uw iPod of iPhone een
krachtig bloeddrukmeettoestel voor de bloeddrukmeting
aan de bovenarm. De meting gebeurt hier door een
druksensor die via een microprocessor de trillingen meet
die bij het oppompen en leeglopen van de bloeddruk-
manchet via de slagader ontstaan.
