Cambiar las pilas
En el volumen de suministro de la báscula se incluyen dos pilas CR
2032.
Antes de la primera puesta en funcionamiento debe retirar los
aislamientos plásticos del compartimento de pilas. Abra para
ello el compartimento de pilas y retire ambos aislamientos ti-
rando de las banderitas debajo de las pilas.
! Para cambiar las pilas, desplace la tapa del compartimiento
para pilas en la parte inferior del aparato empujándola en la di-
rección de las flechas y levántela.
! Extraiga las pilas viejas.
! Coloque – de acuerdo con la indicación que hay en el compar-
timento de pilas– una de ambas pilas de botón con el polo posi-
tivo (cara grabada) hacia abajo y la otra con el polo negativo
(cara lisa) hacia abajo:
Cuando aparezca "LO" en pantalla o disminuya la intensidad de la
pantalla, deberá cambiar las pilas.
Modo de funcionamiento
La báscula con medición de grasa corporal indica el porcentaje de grasa y el
de agua corporal en relación con el peso total. El peso total se mide mediante
un sensor digital de cuarzo. Para medir la grasa corporal la báscula emplea
unos electrodos situados en la base de la báscula que miden la resistencia a
una corriente eléctrica en el cuerpo. Los tejidos corporales menos grasos,
como por ejemplo el tejido muscular, presentan una resistencia menor que el
tejido graso. El ordenador integrado relaciona los valores de grasa corporal
con la altura, la edad, el sexo y, naturalmente, también con el peso total de
la persona. De esta forma se calcula el índice de masa corporal.
