6.5.2. Descalcificación
Para que el aparato tenga una larga vida útil y el proceso de preparación del café no
dure más de lo necesario, hay que descalcificar la cafetera de goteo regularmente.
Los intervalos varían según la concentración de cal en el agua y la frecuencia de uti-
lización. Cuando el tiempo de preparación de café se haga perceptiblemente más
largo, es el momento de descalcificar la máquina a más tardar. Recomendamos una
descalcificación respetuosa con el medio ambiente, con vinagre o ácidos cítricos:
Para la dosificación adecuada, mezcle dos tazas de vinagre o dos cucharas sope-
ras de cristales de ácido cítrico con ocho tazas de agua.
Rellene el depósito de agua con el líquido, cierre la tapa del portafiltro y coloque
la jarra debajo del filtro.
Eventualmente se puede repetir varias veces el proceso con la solución prepara-
da.
A continuación, enjuague bien la jarra de cristal y el portafiltro.
Por último, realice varios hervidos con agua limpia.
Si desea utilizar un descalcificador habitual (producto químico), tenga en cuenta las
indicaciones del fabricante.
¡No permita que los agentes descalcificantes químicos goteen sobre la carcasa o la
placa calefactora!
