De mogelijkheden van de softwareprogramma’s, met die u kunt tekenen en ontwerpen,
gaan van het simpele tekenprogramma tot professionele CAD-toepassing. Het ontwerpen
van uitnodigings-kaarten, kalenders, posters en dergelijke is voor het thuisgebruik het
centrale opgavengebied. Makkelijk en snel laten zich deze opgaven met programma´s
zoals Microsoft - Works of Paint realiseren. Voor professioneel gebruik verheugen zich
grafiek-programma´s zoals Paint Shop Pro, Corel Draw of producten van Adobe en
Macromedia grote populariteit.

Zoekmachines helpen bij het zoeken van artikels en publicaties. Bijna elke universiteit
heeft inmiddels een eigen internet-presentie en stelt zijn weten daarmee wereldwijd ter
beschikking.
Door de mogelijkheid, Informatie direct van het Internet op te roepen, kunnen vrij te
verkrijgen Programma´s (Free- of Shareware), stuurprogramma's, documenten,
muziek en nog veel meer direct op uw Netbook worden overgedragen.
Om op het Internet te kunnen komen, heeft u een zogenoemde Browser nodig. Het
Windows besturingssysteem bevat de Internet-Explorer, alternatief word ook vaak
Navigator van Netscape gebruikt.
