7. Setting up the device

• Place the device on a sturdy, level surface. Some aggres-

sive varnishes can corrode the rubber feet on the device.

If necessary, place the device on a suitable underlay.

7.1. Mains connection

Connect the mains adapter.

To do this, place the connection cable plug in the sock-

et DC9V/3A and the supplied mains adapter into a prop-

erly installed earthed power socket which is accessible

at all times.

7.2. Backup battery

The device is also supplied with power using a type CR2032

button cell battery to ensure that the time continues to run

in the background and all settings are retained if you discon-

nect the device from the mains.

This battery is already installed upon delivery and only has

to be activated. The battery compartment is located on the

bottom of the device.

To activate the battery, pull the film tab protruding from

the battery compartment and remove the film com-

pletely.

To replace the battery at a later point in time, proceed as fol-

lows:

Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen and remove the

screw on the battery compartment cover.

Insert the button cell battery with the positive pole fac-

ing outwards.
