Malgré la méthode de fabrication ultramoderne
employée, le niveau technique hautement com-
plexe peut, dans de rares cas, générer un ou
plusieurs points lumineux.
Les écrans TFT à matrice active d'une résolution
de 1366 x 768 pixels, se composant chacun de
trois sous-pixels (rouge, vert, bleu), utilisent au
total env. 3,1 millions de transistors de com-
mande. Compte tenu de ce très grand nombre
de transistors et des processus de fabrication
extrêmement complexes qui y sont associés, il peut survenir par endroits des
pertes ou un mauvais adressage de pixels ou de sous-pixels individuels.
