The charging time will depend on the age and the total
capacity of the rechargeable batteries. The maximum
charging time in the device is 10 hours. The device will switch
to maintenance charging after this.
Charging 9 V block batteries
• Set the function switch to the NiMH or NiCd battery type.
• Plug a 9 V block battery that you wish to charge onto the
+ and – terminals in the central charging slot, paying
attention to the correct polarity.
The check LED for 9 V block batteries will shine during the
charging process and will go out when a voltage of
approximately 10 V has been reached or after 10 hours at the
latest. You will also be able to remove the battery from the
device earlier, if you have calculated the optimum charging
time in advance with the formula given in Page 8 of these
Instructions.
• Detach the plug-in power supply unit from the socket and
remove the 9 V block battery from the charging slot after
the charging has been completed.
