Cleaning and Storage
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The air filters must be cleaned a minimum of once every two weeks. Dust will collect on the filters
restricting its airflow. The restricted airflow will reduce the efficiency of the system and if it becomes
blocked, it can cause damage to the portable air conditioner. Cleaning the air filters frequently will
prolong the life of your portable air conditioner. Do not use the portable air conditioner without both
filters.
1. Unplug the portable air conditioner.
2. Remove the filters from the portable air conditioner (there is one at the top and bottom).
3. Use the end of a hoover to clean both sides of each filter thoroughly.
4. Alternatively, the filters can be cleaned gently using warm water. Leave the filter to air dry
completely before reinstalling.
Before moving or storing the portable air conditioner, drain any collected water away using the drainage
hose provided (see page 14 for further information). Clean the filters and then store the unit in its plastic
bag or original box to protect the portable air conditioner from dust.
Remember the portable air conditioner can also be used as a dehumidifier (above 15°C) and a heater
during the winter months if required.
