• If the seat belt is adjustable, place it in the lowest position.
• Ensure that the front seat is in the rearmost position.
• Thread the lap belt of the 3-point seat belt on the front under the two bright blue-coloured lap belt hooks (fig. H2)
and fasten the seat belt into the buckle.
• Pull the shoulder portion of the seat belt around the seat and feed it through the bright blue hook on the back
(fig. H3). Make sure that the shoulder portion of the seat belt is secured behind the blue belt hook and blocked by
the retaining hook (fig. H4).
• Pull the belt tight (fig. H5). Ensure the belt is not twisted.
• Check once again to make sure the seat belt is correctly secured under and through the three bright blue-
coloured points. The Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System is now correctly installed.
Note:
If your seat belt appears to be too short for the installation method described above, an alternative method can be
used.
• First place the seat belt under the two bright blue-coloured belt hooks on the front and the belt hook on the back.
Then fasten the seat belt into the buckle.
• Pull the seat belt tight.
• Ensure the belt is not twisted.
• Double check that the seat belt is threated correctly under and through the three bright blue-coloured points.
The Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System has now been properly installed.
Adjusting the carrying handle
The carrying handle has 3 positions (fig. I).
Press the two buttons on either side of the carrying handle simultaneously and move the carrying handle forwards
or backwards as required. The buttons will pop up automatically when the carrying handle is in the correct
position.
