GUI Configuration
This submenu allows you to configure the Web GUI’s network access parameters and any special features. This is
useful for remote sites where the receiver may be connected to the Internet. The GUI Configuration page similar to
Figure 2- 66 will be displayed when the submenu item is selected.

Aside from the Common Menu Items, the following menu items are available:

Show GUI
Configuration
Selecting this button will always return you back to the GUI Configuration page, as shown in
Figure 2- 66. The current GUI configuration parameters will always be displayed here.
Edit GUI
Configuration
Selecting this button will enter the GUI Configuration Edit page, as shown in Figure 2- 67. The
edit fields on this page are described below the figure.
The following fields can be edited on the GUI Configuration Edit page, Figure 2- 67:
Edit Field Description
SSL A check in this box will enable Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). SSL is a commonly used protocol
for managing the security of a message transmission on the Internet.
Server Port Enter a port number for access to the Web GUI server. Port 80 is the default well-known port
for non-secure connections and 443 is the default port when SSL is enabled.
Status Bar to Display This field allows you to select which status bar will appear at the bottom of any Web GUI page,
in the Metrics Display Area. Selecting the IDC demod metrics status bar causes the RF metrics
for the current DVB carrier to be displayed, whereas the Logging status bar displays the latest
entries in the system log. Information in either mode is refreshed automatically based on the
Refresh interval.
NOTE:
After you
change the SSL
or Server Port
parameters and
Send Update,
the receiver will
reboot, which
will interrupt
any data
services.
