Informations concernant la locomotive réelle
Les dernières locomotives-tenders pour trains de voyageurs
mises au point par les chemins de fer prussiens sont des
machines de type T 18. Elles ont été livrées entre 1912
et 1923. Ces locomotives de 14,80 m de long avaient une
disposition symétrique des essieux, ce qui leur permettait
de rouler à 100 km/h tant en marche avant qu’en marche
arrière. Les dernières machines de ce type en service à la
Deutsche Bundesbahn, renumérotées BR 78 ont été rayées
des inventaires au milieu des années 70. 20 locomotives,
numérotées 1121 à 1140, ont été livrées par Vulkan à la Kö-
niglich Württembergischen Staatseisenbahnen (K.W.St.E.)
en 1919, et 27 autres entre 1915 et 1918 aux Reichsbahnen
Elsaß-Lothringen. Plus tard elles furent reversées à l’effectif
de l’administration ferroviaire française (SNCF) sous la
dénomination 232 TC.

De ontwikkeling van tenderlocomotieven voor reizigers-
verkeer werd in Pruisen afgesloten met de bouw van de
machines van de klasse T 18. Ze werden afgeleverd tussen
1912 en 1923. De 14,8 m lange locomotieven konden dank zij
hun symmetrische asopstelling zowel voorals achteruit
100 km/h rijden. De laatste van de bij de Deutsche Bun-
desbahn als BR 78 aangeduide locomotieven werden in de
jaren zeventig buiten dienst gesteld. Twintig locomotieven
met de treinnummers 1121 tot 1140, werden in 1919 door
”Vulkaan” aan de Koninklijke Wurtembergse Staatspoor-
wegen (K.W.St.E.) geleverd, zevenentwintig locomotieven
tussen 1915 en 1918 aan de Rijksspoorwegen van Elzas-
Lotharingen. Ze verbleven in Frankrijk en werden later
door de Franse Staatsspoorwegen (SNCF) als Serie 232 TC
overgenomen.
