Electrical connection
Power is supplied to the induction loop detector via the connecting terminal X3.
Supply voltage 230 V AC, 50 Hz, power input approx. 3 VA.
On the output side the detector features two potential-free change-over contacts with
the following functions:
- Relay KI: Terminals 55 and 56. If the detector detects a vehicle in the loop
field, the relay generates an output impulse of approx. 1.4 sec.
duration. In the static state the contacts are open.
- Relay KB: Relay KB: Terminals 57, 58 (closers) and 57, 59 (openers).
If the detector detects a vehicle in the loop field, the relay
contact closes for the duration of the detection.
The "occupied status" is automatically cancelled if a vehicle or
large metal object occupies the loop field for a longer period of
time.
LED status display
After switching the unit on, the green LED (PWR) indicates that the detector is ready
for operation. When switched on, the red LED (CH1) flashes rapidly and goes out once
self-adjustment has taken place.
LED "fault display":
In the event of a fault, the red LED flashes slowly. This display continues even after the
fault has been rectified. It can only be cancelled by cutting off the supply voltage or by
actuating the RESET button. This ensures that faults will be recognised.
LED "loop occupied":
As long as the detector registers a vehicle on the loop, the red LED stays on.
