folded in order to obtain a booklet A5 (+/- 148.5 mm width x
210 mm height). When folding, make sure you keep the good

SPECIAL ATTENTION
Your new appliance is designed with a protective coating around the heating coils. When
plugged in and operating for the first time, there may be a little momentary smoking while this
coating is initially heated. This presents no danger to the user and does not indicate a defect in
the unit. When using for the first time, allow the appliance to continue running until the smoke
dissipates. This should last only about 30 seconds.
General use of the appliance
Before using the appliance, untangle your hair with a comb or a brush.
Use the appliance on dry or slightly wet hair, never use it on too wet, synthetic hair or wigs.
For a better result, use the appliance on clean, dry and untangled hair.
Choose the brush/iron you wish to use.
Check that the locking ring is in an open position ( symbol of the ring in front of the
symbol of the appliance).
Insert the brush/crimp in the appliance (lever on the side of the switch) and fix it by
rotating the locking ring in order to have the symbol of the ring in front of the symbol
of the appliance. To remove the brush / crimp, do it the other way round.
Plug in the appliance and put the switch on 1 or 2.
1 = middle temperature, 2 = high temperature.
Let the appliance heat for about 5 minutes before using it.
After use, turn off the appliance, unplug it and let it cool down on its base.
WARNING
The ceramic plates and the metallic parts become very hot during use. Do not touch these
parts and avoid contact with skins. Always stand your appliance on its base.
If you have thin or fragile hair, too hot a temperature could damage or even burn them.
When you put an accessory on a crimp, please do not force, there is always a sense in
which the accessory is put effortlessly.
HAIR STRAIGHTENER
Check that the symbol of the latch of the crimper is on the position.
Position the hair straightener as closely as possible to the roots and take a section 2 to 3
cm wide.
Slowly glide the hair straightener from the roots to the ends. When you get to the ends,
turn the hair straightener in a half-circle inward (or outward).
Hold the hair straightener for 2 to 3 seconds and release.
Repeat this process several times if necessary in order to obtain an optimal result.
To give more volume to your hair, use an upward motion to lift the roots from the scalp
when the appliance is close to the roots, i.e. at the beginning of the straightening process.
GOFFERING IRON
Check that the symbol of the latch of the iron is on the position.
Take a tuft. Open the crimp by pressing its lever and tighten the tuft in the crimp. Always
go from the root to the end of the hair.
Let the tuft in the crimp for 10 to 15 seconds.
Repeat this operation for all your hair.
