Safety/Start-up
Verify the existing mains voltage matches the
required operating voltage of the lamp (see
“Technical data“) before use.
Ensure that the light does not come into contact
with water or other liquids under any circumstances.
Always unplug the lamp from the mains prior
to assembly, disassembly, cleaning or if the
lamp will not be used for extended periods.
Never open any of the components of the elec-
trical equipment or insert any objects into the
same components. This will pose a risk of fatal
injury from electric shock.
The illuminant in this light must be replaced by
the manufactured or an authorised technician
or similarly qualified person.
This light is not suitable for dimmer
or electronic switches.
Prevent fire and injury hazards
Do not look into the illuminant from a close
distance during operation.
Do not look at the LED with an optical instrument
(e.g. magnifier).
Do not cover the lamp or the mains plug with
objects. Excessive heat can result in a fire.
Do not operate the lamp unattended.
For your safety
Mount the light so that it is protected from
moisture and dirt.
Always be attentive! Always pay attention to
what you are doing and always proceed with
caution. Never mount or use the light if you are
having difficulty concentrating or do not feel well.
In order to disconnect the light completely from
the power supply, the mains plug must be
removed from the socket.
Start-up
Installing the light
Note: Remove all packaging materials from the
product.
Note: During assembly, make sure that you pull the
power cord 3 slowly through the base 1.
Carefully remove the bottom of the base 1b
(see Fig. A).
Insert the standpipe 2 into the base 1 (see
Fig. B). Make sure that the power cord
3
,
which
runs through the standpipe 2, is not pinched.
First slide the washer 4, then the toothed
washer 4 and finally the nut 6 onto the
standpipe 2 from below (see Fig. C).
Then tighten the nut 6 using the tool 7 (see
Fig. C). Pay attention to the correct fit. Place
the power cord 3 in the base 1 as shown in
Figure D. Make sure that the power cord 3 is
not pinched inside the base 1.
Then place the assembled lamp on the bottom
of the base 1b . Make sure that the power cord
3 is in the recess provided on the underside
of the base 1b (see Fig. E).
Screw the bottom of the stand 1b tight with the
screws 8 provided (see Fig. F).
Glue the screw covers 9 to the intended loca-
tion on the screws 8 (see Fig. G).
Insert the mains plug 13 into a properly installed
socket (see Fig. H).
The lamp is now ready for use.
Switch the lamp on and off
Switch the light on or off using the ON/OFF
switch 12 (see Fig. H).
Adjusting the reflector
CAUTION! RISK OF BURNS DUE TO
HOT SURFACES!
Note: Only change the position of the reflector 10
if the lamp is turned off.
