volume control switch on the steering
wheel to adjust the message read out vol-

1Display the massage screen by
either operation:
switch “Message”
“MENU” button “Phone”
“Message”
2Select the desired outbox from the
list displayed on the left side of the
screen.
3Select the desired message from
the list.
4Check that the message is dis-
played.
“Re-send”: Select to re-send the message.
This switch is displayed if sending the text
message has failed.
The message type which can be cre-
ated is SMS only.
1Display the phone screen by either
operation:

From the contact or favourite
screen
2Select “Contacts” or “Favourite” on
the sub menu.
3Select desired contact.
From the call history screen
2Select “History” on the sub menu.
3Select a contact not yet registered
in the contact list.
4Select corresponding to the
desired number.
5Select “New”.
6Enter the message and then select
“OK”.
7Select “Send”.
“Cancel”: Select to cancel sending the
message.
While the message is being sent, a
sending message screen is dis-
played.
8Check that a confirmation screen is
displayed when the operation is
complete.
If an error message is displayed, fol-
low the guidance on the screen to
try again.

The short messages can contain up to
160 characters. The divided text will be
sent when the message body exceed
