Netwerkinstellingen
Met de functie Netwerk kunt u de netwerkinstellingen op uw px12-450r weergeven en wijzigen. U kunt de
functie Netwerk gebruiken om uw DNS-servers en WINS-servers aan te geven en aan te geven hoe het
IP-adres van uw systeem wordt vastgesteld. De meeste systeem-IP-adressen en andere
netwerkinstellingen kunnen normaal gesproken automatisch worden geconfigureerd.
Als u de standaardnetwerkinstellingen voor uw px12-450r wilt wijzigen, raadpleegt u Netwerkinstellingen
handmatig configureren.
U kunt tevens de functie Netwerk gebruiken om de volgende functies op uw px12-450r te configureren.
Gekoppelde netwerkinterfacekaarten
Als uw px12-450r meerdere netwerkinterfacekaarten heeft, kunt u die kaarten koppelen. Raadpleeg
Netwerkinterfacekaarten koppelen.
VLAN
Elke netwerkinterfacekaart op uw px12-450r kan worden toegevoegd aan maximaal vier virtuele LAN's
(VLAN). Meer informatie over het toevoegen van een netwerkinterfacekaart aan een VLAN vindt u in
VLAN-instellingen.
Ondersteuning voor jumboframes instellen
U kunt jumboframes inschakelen voor elke netwerkinterfacekaart op uw px12-450r door het gedeelte
Gegevens voor een netwerkinterfacekaart uit te vouwen en een jumboframegrootte in te voeren in het
veld Jumboframe. Als u geen ondersteuning voor jumboframes nodig hebt, vult u niets in. Ondersteuning
voor jumboframes is handig voor het overdragen van grote bestanden, zoals multimediabestanden, via een
netwerk. Met ondersteuning voor jumboframes neemt de overdrachtssnelheid toe doordat grote bestanden
in minder gegevenspakketten worden geplaatst. Ook wordt er minder van de apparaathardware gevraagd
doordat de CPU meer gegevens in minder gegevenspakketten verwerkt.
Ondersteuning voor jumboframes moet alleen worden ingeschakeld als u er zeker van bent dat uw netwerk
compatibel is met jumboframes en alle netwerkapparaten zijn geconfigureerd voor de ondersteuning van
jumboframes. Het wordt u aanbevolen te controleren of alle netwerkinterfacekaarten zijn geconfigureerd
voor de ondersteuning van jumboframes voordat u deze functie inschakelt.
