Kleursensor
De Kleursensor is een digitale sensor die de kleur of lichtintensiteit
kan detecteren die binnenvalt door het kleine venster aan de
voorkant van de sensor. Je kunt deze sensor in drie verschillende
modi gebruiken: in de Kleurmodus, in de modus Intensiteit
gereflecteerd licht en in de modus Intensiteit omgevingslicht.
In de Kleurmodus herkent de Kleursensor zeven kleuren (zwart,
blauw, groen, geel, rood, wit, bruin) en Geen kleur. Dankzij dit
vermogen om verschillende kleuren te herkennen, kun je je robot
programmeren om gekleurde ballen of blokken te sorteren, de
namen van gedetecteerde kleuren uit te spreken of een actie te
onderbreken als de kleur rood wordt waargenomen.
In de modus Intensiteit gereflecteerd licht meet de Kleursensor de
intensiteit van het gereflecteerde licht van een rode lamp. De sensor
gebruikt hiervoor een schaal van 0 (erg donker) tot 100 (erg licht).
Dit betekent dat je je robot kunt programmeren om rond te rijden
op een wit oppervlak tot er een zwarte lijn gedetecteerd wordt, of
om een identificatiekaart met een kleurcode te interpreteren.
In de modus Intensiteit omgevingslicht meet de Kleursensor de
sterkte van het licht dat binnenvalt in het sensorvenster (bv. van
zonlicht of de straal van een zaklamp). De sensor gebruikt hiervoor
een schaal van 0 (erg donker) tot 100 (erg licht). Dit betekent dat
je je robot kunt programmeren zodat hij een alarm activeert als
’s morgens de zon opkomt of een actie onderbreekt als het licht
gedoofd wordt.
De bemonsteringsfrequentie van de Kleursensor bedraagt 1 kHz/s.
Om een optimale nauwkeurigheid te bekomen in de Kleurmodus
of in de modus Intensiteit gereflecteerd licht, moet de sensor in
een rechte hoek geplaatst zijn en zich dicht bij het te onderzoeken
oppervlak bevinden (maar dit niet aanraken).
