Acest aparat percepe zgomotul în mod similar urechii umane.
Microfonul integrat recepŰioneazń undele de zgomot emise ŭi le
transformń în semnale electrice. Auzul uman funcŰioneazń conform
unor anumite curbe ale auzului. Cu cât este mai mare presiunea
acusticń, cu atât mai tare va Ö resimŰit tonul. Cu cât este mai mare
frecvenŰa, cu atât mai înalt va Ö resimŰit tonul. Pentru a se garanta o
mńsurare optimń acustic, acest aparat de mńsurń este dotat cu Ö ltre.
Evaluarea A (dB A) emuleazń rńspunsul la frecvenŰń al urechii umane
ŭi se întrebuinŰeazń la majoritatea mńsurńtorilor zgomotului la locul
de muncń sau în mediul înconjurńtor. Evaluarea C se utilizeazń de
ex. la mńsurńtorile ŭtiinŰiÖ ce. Dupń pornirea aparatului, apńsaŰi
tasta „dB“. Prin apńsarea tastei „Unit“ se comutń între dB (A) ŭi
dB (C). OrientaŰi microfonul la sursa de zgomot corespunzńtoare ŭi
menŰineŰi o distanŰń corespunzńtoare. Prin apńsarea tastei „Mode“
(mod) se aÖ ŭeazń, pe lângń valoarea mńsuratń curentń, cea mai mare
valoare (MAX), cea mai micń valoare (MIN), valoarea medie (AVG)
sau diferenŰa de valoare (DIF). Cu tasta „HOLD“, valoarea mńsuratń
actualń poate Ö menŰinutń.
