LANCOM Advanced VoIP Client uses the hanset for voice input and
output.
LANCOM Advanced VoIP Client uses the handset for ringing sound
output (speaker in the desktop device).
If the "headset" button is pressed during a call, the speaker in the
phone rest will be activated for open listening.
LANCOM Advanced VoIP Client uses the headset connection as
microphone and speaker if the "headset" button is pressed while
telephone is idle.
LANCOM Advanced VoIP Client uses the volume control on the handset
in order to adjust the volume of the ringing sound while it is ringing.
LANCOM Advanced VoIP Client uses the volume control on the handset
in order to adjust the volume during a call.
D.3.2 Functions of the LANCOM VoIP USB Handset in Detail
The various behaviors of the LANCOM VoIP USB Handset in interaction with a
connected LANCOM VoIP Client Headset will be described in detail in the
following.
The Handset is on hook, all lines in LANCOM Advanced VoIP Client
are inactive
The "headset" button switches between the different states:
Handset Mode (default setting)
Headset Mode
Handset Mode (default)
The "headset" button was not pressed. The "headset" button is off, the LED is
off. When you receive a call, lift the handset from the rest and telephone via
the handset. The hook off function is started when the handset is lifted.
Headset Mode
Press the “headset” button once. The "headset" button is on the LED is off,
you are telephoning via the headset. The hook off function is activated, e.g.
by clicking on the LANCOM Advanced VoIP Client interface. Alternatively you
can also dial via the numeric keypad of the keyboard (block dialing) if the
Num button is activated and then start the dial connection with the entry
key.
