LANCOM Advanced VoIP Client
Installing and Uninstalling LANCOM Advanced VoIP Client
ENUM stands for "TElephone NUmber Mapping", and is based on the
Internet's Domain Name System (DNS). This is a system that maps phone
numbers on a domain globally. ENUM is thus a form of "phonebook", in
which actually existing numbers are transferred to the Internet. You can
register a normal telephone number in the classic number format (according
to E.164, e.g. 49231999888) with ENUM. This number is associated with a
SIP-URI by querying ENUM. You can then be reached directly via the Internet
with a normal telephone number.
If you activate the ENUM query, LANCOM Advanced VoIP Client searches for
the dialed number in the ENUM directory, and can then forward the call
directly to the correct address. The telephone connection is established
directly between the two telephony terminals.
This is how you configure peer-to-peer/ENUM
In the "Settings" menu, select the option "SIP Accounts/Audio".
Select the "P2P/ENUM" tab. On this tab you can enter the necessary details for
peer-to-peer and ENUM, and activate these options.
Activate the checkbox "Enable Peer-to-Peer".
