INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
PREPARATION
Before each use, carefully clean the appliance as described in the
"Maintenance" section.
Place the device on a flat, hard surface, taking care to leave the work area
in front of the appliance free from obstacles and wide enough to enable the
support of the bags with the food to be packaged.
Connect the appliance to a power outlet and verify that the indicator lights of
the "Normal" and "Dry" functions come on.
Distribute the food to preserve evenly within the bag. Make sure the bag
length is 8 cm longer than the food to be preserved.
Lift the lid.
You can select the air extraction power and the sealing time of the
appliance according to the food that you're packaging (see the "Description
of Functions" section). The machine is automatically set in the function
"VACUUM-NORMAL" and "FOOD-DRY ".
After changing the selection of the air extraction power and the sealing time,
it remains in the memory until the appliance is disconnected from the power
outlet.
USE WITH BAGS
1. Position the open end of the bag inside the vacuum chamber as shown in
figure 2.without covering the air suction hole.
For Laica bag codes VT3500, VT3501, VT3502, VT3503 and VT3504 and
Laica roll codes VT3505, VT3508 and VT3509, position the bag with the
smooth part facing down.
Make sure the sealing point, inside the bag, is clean and free of any food
particles.
The bag must be perfectly stretched and without any creases.
2. Lower the lid and press firmly with both hands on the sides of the same,
engaging the locking levers on the base until you hear a "click".
3. Press the “AUTOMATIC” key to start the automatic vacuum and sealing
process. During the extraction of air the "AUTOMATIC" key lights up, while
during sealing the "SEAL" key lights up.
4. Wait until the "SEAL" key goes out. Press the two keys for lid opening and lift
the lid.
5. Check that the bag is properly sealed and place it in the refrigerator, freezer
or pantry.
USE WITH ROLLS
Using the roll, it is possible to prepare bags in the desired length specific to the
type of food being stored.
1. Lift the lid.
2. Move the cutter completely to the right or left of its support, then lift the
support and pass the end of the roll underneath it.
Determine the bag length based on the length of the food being stored and
add at least 8 cm.
3. Lower the cutter support and cut the roll by sliding the cutter.
4. Place one of the two open ends of the bag on the sealing gasket. For Laica
roll codes VT3505, VT3508 and VT3509, place the smooth side facing
down.
5. The bag must not protrude from the vacuum chamber and liquid tray or on
the gasket seal.
6. Make sure that the bag is fully stretched out, clean and without any creases.
7. Lower the lid and press firmly with both hands on the sides of the same,
engaging the locking levers on the base until you hear a "click."
8. Press the “SEAL” key to start sealing. When the “SEAL” key turns off, sealing
is complete.
9. Press the two keys for lid opening and lift the lid.
10. Check that the bag is properly sealed.
11. Continue as described in the "PREPARATION" and "OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS - USE WITH BAGS" sections.
MANUAL VACUUM
Total air extraction using the automatic method tends to crush and damage
foods with a more delicate and fragile consistency (such as strawberries, berries,
breadsticks, vegetables, etc.); in these cases, it is therefore possible to use the
manual vacuum function, interrupting air extraction when necessary.
1) Position the bag and hook the machine lid as described in points 1 and 2 of
the “Use with bags” section.
2) Press the “AUTOMATIC” key to start air extraction. Carefully watch the air
being extracted from the bag, and when necessary, stop the vacuum process
by pressing the “SEAL” key.
When the “SEAL” key turns off, sealing is complete.
3) Lift the lid and check that the bag is properly sealed.
USE WITH CANISTERS (not supplied)
Only use Laica canisters, code VT3304.
To generate a vacuum in canisters, the machine’s vacuum power level must be
set to “VACUUM-NORMAL”.
Prior to use, make sure the lid, canister and gasket are completely clean and dry.
1) Fill the canister up to a maximum of 3 cm below the top edge.
2) Put on the lid and rotate the relief valve of the lid to the "•SEAL" position.
3) Connect the container tube by inserting one of the two ends into the socket
located on the right side of the machine, and the other end into the socket
located on the canister lid.
4) Press the “CANISTER” key to start the automatic vacuum process. During the
air extraction the "CANISTER" key lights up. Wait until the light on the key
goes out.
5) Extract the tube from the canister, taking care not to rotate the relief valve and
then extract it from the machine, then put it in the fridge, freezer or pantry.
“Quick marinate” function in the canister (not supplied)
This function reduces the amount of time required to marinate food through 15
cycles, which alternate the extraction and release of the air inside the canister.
1) Fill the canister and connect it to the machine as described above.
2) Set the machine vacuum power according to the food being marinated (see
the “Description of Functions” section).
3) Press the "MARINATE" key to start the automatic air extraction procedure and
the release of the air.
During this operation, the key lights up. The quick marinate process takes
