FUNCTION DESCRIPTION
1. " " Button: press this button at the end of each operating cycle to
lift the lid.
2. Indicator lights: show the phases of the operating cycle:
POWER: indicates the beginning of the operating cycle;
FREE HAND: you can take your hand off the lid;
SEAL: indicates the sealing phase.
3. Sealing bar: seals the bag.
4.5 Suction and liquid collection chamber: area where the open end
of the bag is positioned to allow air suction and the elimination of any
excess liquids.
6. Sealing gasket: creates an excellent sealing effect in the suction
chamber to be able to perform the vacuum in the bags.
7. Sealer gasket: ensures the bag touches the sealing bar.
8. “ON” button:
This button is automatically activated when the lid is pressed;
Press the "ON" button with your hand only for vacuum sealing
with LAICA reusable bags.
9. Lid: Creates the sealing effect needed to generate the vacuum in the
bag.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
PREPARATION
• Before each use, thoroughly clean the appliance as described in the
section "maintenance".
• Position the machine on a sturdy horizontal surface, being careful to
leave the work zone around the appliance free of obstacles and large
enough to allow for placing the bags of food to be packaged.
Connect the appliance to a power outlet.
Uniformly insert the food to be stored in the bag. Make sure the bag is
about 8 cm longer than the food to be stored.
Lift the lid.
USE WITH BAGS
1. Position the open end of the bag inside the vacuum chamber as shown
in figure 2 without covering the air suction hole. With Laica bags codes
VT3501, VT3503 and VT3504, and Laica rolls code VT3508, put the
bag with the smooth side facing upwards. Make sure the sealing point,
inside of the bag, is clean and free of any particle of food. The bag
must be perfectly stretched and without any creases.
2. Lower the lid and press firmly with your hands on both sides of the
same: the machine automatically starts the vacuum process.
3. Take your hands off the lid when the indicator light "FREE HAND" turns
on.
4. When the indicator light "SEAL" turns off, press and lift the lid.
5. Check the bag seal and place it in the refrigerator, freezer or storeroom.
USE WITH ROLLS
The roll allows you to prepare bags of desired length, suitable for the food
to be preserved.
1. Set the bag length considering the length of the food to be preserved
and add at least 8 cm.
2. Cut the roll to the desired size using sharp scissors.
3. Place one of the two open ends of the bag on the sealing gasket.
With Laica rolls code VT3508, place the smooth side facing upwards.
Do not let the bag to come out from the vacuum chamber and drip tray
or the seal gasket. Make sure that the bag is fully stretched out, clean
and unwrinkled.
4. Lower the lid and press firmly with both hands on either side of the
same.
5. When the indicator light "SEAL" turns off, press and lift the lid.
6. Check the seal made.
7. Continue as described in "PRELIMINARY OPERATIONS" and
"OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS - HOW TO USE THE SEALER WITH BAGS"
sections.
VACUUM PACKING FOR LIQUIDS
To vacuum pack liquids they should be pre-frozen.
Put the liquid food in a suitable container, put it in the freezer for about
12-18 hours then remove it from the container and put it in the bag
for vacuum packing. Remove the air and seal the bag as in section
"Instructions for use - use with bags" then put the bag in the freezer.
MAINTENANCE
Wash hands thoroughly before cleaning the appliance.
• Before and after use, clean the appliance with a dry or slightly damp
cloth, being careful to not let liquids penetrate inside.
After each use, remove any nylon (bag) reside from the sealing bar
using a soft cloth and being careful not to damage it. Clean the
sealing bar only after it has cooled.
After each use, thoroughly clean the suction and liquid collection
chamber with a damp cloth to remove any residues.
Never use chemicals or harsh products.
Store the appliance in a cool, dry area.
The following parts are available at your retailer: sealer gasket and
sealing gasket: code AHI012.
