INSTRUCTIONS FOR PROPER USE
FOREHEAD TEMPERATURE RECORDING ( )
Attention!
In order to ensure accurate recording of the temperature, clean the probe
in its entirety with a cotton swab moistened with alcohol after each use.
Make sure that the probe is completely dry before use.
IMPROPER CLEANING OF THE PROBE CAN CAUSE UNRELIABLE
TEMPERATURE RECORDINGS
1) Clean and dry the forehead where you will position the probe.
2) Turn on the thermometer by pressing the O/I button on the display. All
the function symbols will appear (self-test).
After a few seconds the display will show the forehead measurement
icon (see fig. 2) and will beep twice. At this point, the thermometer
is ready for use.
3) Position the probe over the forehead at a distance of about 1 to 3 cm.
4) Press and hold the SCAN button until the thermometer beeps. At
this point, release the SCAN button, the appliance will give two short
beeps and the display will show the temperature measured. When
you proceed with a new measurement, the display will show in the
top right corner the preceding measurement and the icon (see
fig. 3). When the temperature measured is above or equal to 37.5°C
(99.5°F) the thermometer will emit 3 short beeps.
NB: The temperature shown on the display is equivalent to the
oral temperature, i.e. the temperature recorded at the forehead is
translated as if the temperature had been recorded in the mouth.
5) After 1 minute of non-use the appliance will switch to standby mode
CELSIUS/FAHRENHEIT
This thermometer can measure temperature in Celsius and Fahrenheit. If
you wish to change the unit of measurement, proceed as follows:

the SCAN button for a few seconds and simultaneously press the O/I
button until the display shows°F (or°C), see fig. 5.

MEMORY FUNCTION
This appliance stores the last 25 measurements to allow you to assess
any changes. The measurements are stored automatically after the
thermometer goes into standby mode. Only the forehead temperatures are
stored. After 25 measurements, the oldest measurement will be cancelled
after each new measurement.
To recall stored measurements, activate the thermometer and press the
O/I button (each press of the button causes the data in memory to scroll).
On pressing the button, the display shows the serial number of each
measurement in memory (1 = most recent measurement, 25 = oldest).
At top left of the display the M symbol appears (see fig. 6). When you
release the button, instead of the serial number, the display shows the
measured temperature.
Stored values are displayed for about 1 minute.
About 1 minute after you release the O/I button, the appliance goes into
standby mode and displays the ambient temperature ( icon , see fig.
4), or you can turn it off by pressing and holding the O/I button for a
few seconds.
