other liquids may cause corrosion or compromise proper scale operation.
Do NOT step onto the scale with wet feet, or if the surface of the scale is wet: slipping
hazard.
SAFE USE OF BATTERIES
Remove the batteries if the scale is not used for long periods of time and keep them
in a well-ventilated and dry place, at room temperature.
Do NOT recharge the batteries if they are not rechargeable.
Do NOT recharge rechargeable batteries using methods other than those indicated in
the manual or using unsuitable equipment.
NEVER expose the batteries to sources of heat or direct sunlight.
Failure to observe these instructions may result in damage to and/or the explosion
of the batteries.
Do NOT throw the batteries into an open flame.
The removal or replacement of batteries must always be performed by an adult.
Keep the batteries far from the reach of children: swallowing batteries carries the risk
of death. If batteries are swallowed, immediately contact a doctor.
The acid contained in the batteries is corrosive. Avoid contact with the skin, eyes or
garments
Body mass index
The body mass index relates the body weight of a person with his/her own height. The
above given classification is associated with the risk for health involved by the body
weight: when the BMI is included between 18.5 and 24.9 it means that the weight does not
influence the health status statistically and therefore it should be considered as normal.
Any deviation, exceeding both the whole value above or below such range of BMI
values, should be considered dangerous for one’s own health status. In such cases, it
is recommended to refer to one’s own doctor. Getting used to follow a balanced diet is
surely of help in increasing the quality of life, promoting health and preventing diseases,
as well as in increasing vitality and keeping fit!

ELECTRONIC PERSONAL SCALE WITH BODY MASS INDICATOR
Besides giving you precise and reliable weight indication, the new electronic scale
calculates your body mass index or BMI, thanks to a mathematical formula comparing
your weight and your height and indicating your ideal weight.
Compare the obtained body mass index with the parameters given in the “BMI table”: if
the values are not included in the normal range, refer to your doctor.
It has a memory function with a 10-person capacity, step on the platform and after a few
seconds the scale will show you the weight and will automatically calculate the BMI.

Caution!!!
The body mass index shall be considered only for information purposes.
For any further information, refer to a doctor or to a dietician.
• Self-measurement means control, not diagnosis or treatment. Unusual
values have always to be discussed with one’s own physician.
Do not modify, in any case, dosages of any drug prescribed by your
doctor.
• Never follow diets autonomously, always refer to a doctor or dietician.
HINTS FOR THE USE
Always weigh yourself on the same scale at the same time, preferably when you wake
up and while naked.
Place the scale on a flat, hard surface. Soft, uneven flooring (e.g. rugs,
carpets, linoleum) can cause the scale to give an uneven reading of your
weight.
Step onto the scale with your feet parallel and weight equally distributed
(see illustrations).
Stand still while the scale measures your weight.
Do not lean against anything or the values shown will be altered.
Caution! The measurement function of the body mass percentage can be used only
by people with a height included between 100 and 220 cm.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
FIRST USE
This scale works with a replaceable 3V CR2032 lithium battery.
At first use, remove the battery's protective film prior to use.
UNIT SELECTION
Turn on the scale and step on, checking the unit of measurement shown on the display
(kg, lb or st). To change the unit of measurement, step off the scale and press the button
located on the base of the scale.
USE
1) Place the scale on a flat, sturdy surface. An uneven or disjointed floor (e.g.
rug, carpet, linoleum) may compromise the accuracy of the detected weight.
2) With the scale off, step on with your feet parallel and your weight
equally distributed (see drawing).
Do not move until the scale has measured your weight.
Do not lean on anything during measuring in order to avoid altering the
detected weight.
3) Step off the scale.
The display will continue to show the weight for a few seconds and will then shut off
automatically.
Each time the scale is moved and then returned to its resting surface, the first
weight must not be considered due to reorganization of the electronic board
with the loading cells. Consider the second and successive weights as in certain
cases the first one could be altered for the reason mentioned above.
Entering the data - Measurement of the weight - Calculation of the Body
Mass Index
This scale can store the data of 10 different people.
1) With off scale, press the “SET” key (positioned under the glass platform next to the
text “SET”, see fig. 2).
2) On the display, the last selected memory area flashes, e.g. “P-01”, which indicates
the person “01”; if you wish to change this memory area (memories 01 to 10) press
the keys ”or ”(positioned under the glass platform where the symbols ”and
” are to be found). Once the memory area has been selected, confirm by pressing
“SET”.
3) Now, the display shows the height: Enter the related value using the keys ”or
and confirm with the “SET” key.
4) The scale has stored your data. Wait until the display shows “0.0”.
5) Get on the scale with parallel feet and weight equally distributed (see
drawings), before the zeros disappear.
Wait without moving until the scale measures your weight. Do not lean on anything
during the measurement to avoid skewing the detected values.
6) The display shows in sequence for three times the following data:
your weight
your Body Mass Index (BMI)
Compare the obtained Body Mass Index with the parameters given in the “BMI table”:
if it is outside the normal values, get medical advice.
7) The scale switches off automatically after the display of the data.
