The instruction manual must be considered an integral part of the product and
must be kept for its entire life. If the appliance is transferred to another owner , its
documentation must also be transferred in its entirety .

instructions and warnings contained in the manual insofar as they provide important

SAFETY WARNINGS

INSTRUCTIONS FOR OPTIMUM DOUGH
• Use eggs at room temperature: do not use chilled eggs.
• If the pasta sheet is too soft, the rollers will not be able to cut it: in this case rework the dough
with your hands adding flour and pass it through the rollers again.
• If the dough is too dr y and does not fit between the cutting rollers, rework the dough with your
hands adding a little water and pass through the rollers again.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
FIRST USE
Clean the machine with a dry cloth to remove any traces of oil. T o clean the rollers, pass through
them a small amount of dough that will then be disposed of.
USE
Before each use, clean the machine as described in the "Maintenance” paragraph.
1) Secure the machine to the table with the a ppropriate clamp (2), tighten the screw (4) until
obtaining stable locking with the table top (see fig. 1) and insert the handle (9) in the pasta
sheet hole (10a) (fig. 2).
2) T o fully open the pasta sheet rollers turn the adjustment knob to the number 7 pulling it
outwards (fig.3).
3) Pass a piece of dough through the pasta sheet rollers turning the handle clockwise (fig. 4).
Lightly flour both sides of the pasta sheet, fold it in half (fig. 5) and pass it between the rollers
several times until the pasta sheet is smooth and homogeneous (fig. 6).
4) T o thin the pasta sheet turn the adjustment knob to the number 6 and pass the pasta sheet
through once without folding it; then turn the knob to the number 5 and pass the pasta sheet
through, flouring both of its sides with each pass, then on the number 4, and so on until
achieving the desired thickness of the sheet.
5) T o cut the pasta sheet, remove the handle from the pasta sheet hole (10a) and insert it into
one of the holes of the cutting rollers (10b for "fettuccine", 10c for "tagliatelle"). Introduce
the pasta sheet between the rollers of the desired format and turn the handle clockwise (fig.
7 and 8).
Now roll the pasta sheet out on a flat surface to dr y , or spread it over the Laica pasta rack
code APM002 (fig. 9).
6) After each use, clean the machine as described in the "Maintenance” paragraph.
INTERCHANGEABE ACCESSORIES AV AILABLE
Is it possible to replace the cutting rollers supplied (fettuccine or tagliatelle) with other formats.
Remove the supplied roller by lifting the structure upwards and inserting the new accessory
chosen (fig. 10).
The accessories available are:
- APM003: SINGLE roller “capelli d’angelo” format 1 mm,
- APM004: SINGLE roller "tagliolini" format 4 mm
- APM005: SINGLE roller "reginette" format 12 mm
- APM006: DOUBLE roller "linguine" format 3 mm and "pappardelle" format 45 mm,
- APM007: roller "ravioli" format sizes 30x30mm.
The following are also available:
- APM001: motor
- APM002: pasta rack.
MAINTENANCE
• NEVER wash the machine and accessories with water or in the dishwasher .
• Before each use, clean the machine with a dry cloth or with a soft brush (fig. 11). After
securing the machine to the table, clean the pasta sheet rollers and the cutting rollers passing
through them a small amount of dough that will then be discarded.
• After each use, clean the rollers by passing through them a small amount of dough that will
then have to be disposed of; Do NOT remove any excess dough with blunt instruments.
• If necessar y lubricate the ends of the cutting rollers using exclusively V aseline oil (fig. 12).
• Check that all the product components are perfectly dry before storing them in a cool, dry
place.
WARRANTY
This equipment is covered by a 2-year warranty starting from the purchase date, which has to
be proven by means of the stamp or signature of the dealer and by the fiscal payment
receipt that shall be kept enclosed to this document.
This warranty period complies with the laws in force and applies only in case the consumer is an
individual. Laica products are designed for domestic use only; therefore, their use for commercial
purposes is forbidden.
The warranty covers only production defects and does not apply , if the damage is caused
by accidental events, misuse, negligence or improper use of the product. Use the supplied
accessories only; the use of other accessories invalidate the warranty cover .
Do not open the equipment for any reason whatsoever; the opening or the tampering of the
equipment, definitely invalidate the warranty . Warranty does not apply to parts subject to tear
and wear along the use, as well as to batteries, when they are included. W arranty decays after
2 years from the purchase date. In this case, technical service inter ventions will be carried out
against payment.
Information on technical service inter ventions, under warranty terms or against payment, may be
requested by writing at info@laica.com.
Repair or replacement of products covered by the warranty terms are free of charge. In case of
faults, refer to the dealer; DO NOT send anything directly to LAICA.
All interventions covered by warranty (including product replacement or the replacement of any
of its parts) shall not be meant to extend the duration of the original warranty period of the
replaced product.
The manufacturer cannot be made liable for any damages that may be caused, directly or
indirectly , to people, things and pets resulting from the inobservance of the provisions contained
in the suitable user manual, especially with reference to the instructions related to installation,
use and maintenance of the equipment.
Being constantly involved in improving its own products, Laica reserves the right to modify its
product, totally or partially , with reference to any production need, without that this involves any
responsibility whatsoever by Laica or its dealers.
