Inleiding
Welkom bij de gebruikshandleiding voor de LaCie Rugged USB-C. De Rugged USB-C is de meest draagbare
van de beproefde Rugged harde schijven van LaCie en biedt u USB 3.1 Gen 1-overdrachtssnelheden. De
Rugged USB-C heeft ook een kleine en lichte behuizing zodat hij gemakkelijk mee te nemen is en bestand is
tegen stoten en vallen tot 1,2 meter. Professionals en hobbyisten zullen de duurzaamheid van de LaCie
Rugged USB-C op prijs stellen en kunnen profiteren van krachtige prestaties bij aansluiting op een computer
met een USB 3.1 Gen 1-poort.

U kunt uw LaCie-apparaat aansluiten op een computer die voldoet aan de volgende minimale vereisten:
Windows 7 of hoger
Mac OS X 10.7 of hoger
Opmerking: Een PDF van deze gebruikershandleiding en softwarehulpmiddelen staan al op het
station.
Belangrijke informatie: bewaar de verpakking. Als u problemen ondervindt met uw harde schijf
en deze wilt ruilen, dient deze te worden geretourneerd in de originele verpakking.
Let op: Voor optimale prestaties tot 5Gb/s sluit u het product aan op een USB 3.1 Gen 1 of USB
3.0-hostpoort op uw computer. Als u LaCie Rugged USB-C aansluit op een USB 2.0-poort wordt
de overdrachtsnelheid verlaagd tot die van USB 2.0, tot 480 Mb/s.
Kabels en aansluingen
USB is een seriële ingangs-/uitgangstechnologie om randapparaten op een computer aan te sluiten. USB-C is
de meest recente versie van deze standaard en biedt een hogere bandbreedte en nieuwe
energiebeheerfuncties.
USB-C biedt ondersteuning voor vele protocollen:
Thunderbolt 3: overdrachtssnelheden tot 40Gb/s
USB 3.1 Gen 2: overdrachtssnelheden tot 10Gb/s
USB 3.1 Gen 1: overdrachtssnelheden tot 5Gb/s
SuperSpeed USB 3.0: overdrachtssnelheden tot 5Gb/s
Hi-Speed USB 2.0: overdrachtssnelheden tot 480Mb/s
De USB-C-poort van de LaCie Rugged USB-C is USB 3.1 Gen 1. U kunt uw Rugged USB-C aansluiten op een
USB-C-poort van uw computer.
USB 3.1-kabel (USB-C)
Gebruik de USB-C-naar-kabel om de maximale gegevensoverdrachtssnelheid te behalen bij gebruik van
compatibele poorten. Uw product is eenvoudig aan te sluiten omdat de USB-C-kabel aan beide uiteinden
identiek is. Verder zijn de USB-C-poorten van uw LaCie-schijf en computer handig afgerond om het
kabeluiteinde in elke positie te accepteren.

Werkt met iPad USB-C
U kunt uw LaCie-opslagapparaten gebruiken met iPads uit het hoger segment. Dat is een geweldige optie
